The Dunstan Yearling Mix feed is formulated as a follow on feed to Dunstan Weanling Mix or as the final preparation feed to complement individual feeding programmes.
Dunstan Yearling Mix is formulated to meet the nutrient requirements of the growing yearling in a palatable complete feed. The advantage of a complete feed programme is one of providing a balanced diet every day in a convenient and economic form.
A feed that provides all macro and micro ingredients in a palatable complete mix to supplement pasture, eliminates the risk of under or over feeding, at a critical stage in the yearling's preparation. The diet is formulated around an extruded pellet to match the nutrient requirements of the growing yearling from twelve months of age. The diet is of a high nutrient specification utilising Dunstan's extrusion technology for processing cereal and soya proteins.
In recognition of sale preparation, additional vegetable oils are included within this feed to aid coat sheen and general appearance. Ingredients are selected for their digestibility and nutrient availability to ensure continuous growth rate and sound bone and joint development.

These figures assume an average growth rate of 0.75 kg per day. Should pasture growth be of exceptional quality due to enhanced seasonal conditions, or an animal be growing at a greater than average rate due to the natural variation in metabolic efficiency between individuals, then feeding rates may need to be adjusted to avoid excessive growth rates. Consult with the Dunstan Nutrition Advisory Service.
Offer the daily feed allocation in as many feeds as possible, but certainly no less than two feeds per day.
